The Trustees of Laxton Village Hall managed a big refurbishment project funded by the National Lottery, culminating in a grand reopening party on 8th February 2020. Entertainment was provided by Rattlejag Morris, SteelGen steel band and the children from Tuxford Primary School with their choir and majorettes. Laxton WI provided catering for the free refreshments served throughout the day.
During the proceedings a celebratory cake was cut and the old school bell was rung by the oldest current villager who had been educated in the Hall which was previously the village school.
